So far so good

I’ve only worn these on 3 occasions and I would be curious how they hold up in the longer term. These are the thinnest salopettes I’ve owned. I wore them on a cold winter day and was fortunately able to wear an insulating layer under them. They are built for men’s plumbing though the sizing at XS is suitable for me as a small frame woman. I had another pair of women’s salopettes from a different manufacturer that provided a drip seat with side zips on both sides. I could have a wee without need ing to disrobe. However with these if you have layers over your salopettes then those have to come off which is not easy if you want to get straight back on deck and only be gone for a quick moment. It definitely added time to get undressed and redressed. I’ve stayed dry in these but haven’t been out on a big wave sail yet. The right hand side thigh pocket is placed as it is for many salopettes which is convenient when you need a quick big pocket for putting in tools, tape, sail ties etc. I liked the cinch waist bc I felt less bulky but it also meant that putting it on meant a snugger fit. The elastic shoulder straps are ok as a design because they are adjustable but bc it’s such a snug fit I also found my hand could get caught in the doubled over elastic rather than through the arm hole. Small problem but it’s not one I ever encountered with my other pants. I bought these online so I didn’t realise how thin they were. If you are bigger chested female or have wide hips I’d encourage you to try on before you buy as it may be a tricky fit. Seams and fabric so far are good but the test will be over wet days and over time.

Good fit even for a small female

Ordered XS as a 155cm 53kg female and they are a good fit albeit a little long in the leg but the adjustable Velcro straps at the ankles means they don't drag and the elastic braces are also adjustable. Reinforced fabric at the knees and seat feels quite robust when crawling/sliding around the deck. Have worn them once so far in Queensland winter - they kept me warm and dry without overheating. They are a unisex style but I found the elastic at the waist makes the silhouette reasonably fitted so they look good and I like them a lot.
Delivery woes: Had to phone the store a few times as the salopettes were out of stock and the store delivery was delayed so it took about 3 - 4 weeks for them to arrive. This was particularly annoying as the website said 5 days shipping but the store owner was apologetic on the phone and arranged for the order to come directly from Zhik to reduce further delays.
